Who We Are

My World Ahead was created by Exercise Specialist, Adam Smeddle as a way to help children with special needs reach their full potential. Adam is a qualified exercise professional having studied through the Health & Fitness Professionals Association (HFPA) and a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals South Africa (REPSSA).

The benefits of physical activity for children with special needs include developing motor skills and social skills – both are essential for helping them grow into healthy and happy adults.

My World Ahead aims to help children:

  • Develop their Motor Skills
  • Improve their Social Skills
  • Boost their Muscle Strength
  • Refine their Co-ordination & Flexibility
  • Improve their Balance
  • Increase their Confidence & Self-Esteem
  • Reach their Full Potential

How does it work?

We offer Private & Group Classes that are personalised to include games and exercises to suit each child’s abilities and goals.

Private Sessions

These one-on-one classes include activities that focus on developing motor skills.

Group Sessions

In a Group Session, activities focus on developing both motor and social skills. As the children work and play together, they get to interact with their peers and learn valuable soft skills.

Your first session is FREE and includes an assessment so we can design a programme that best suits the needs of your child.

Making Exercise Fun for Everyone

Your child won’t get the full benefits of exercise if they aren’t enjoying it – so each personalised programme includes games, stickers and prizes to make it fun. Every three months, an award ceremony is held to recognise your child’s hard work and commitment.

Where Do Classes Take Place?

My World Ahead will come to you (if you are in the area)! Private and Group sessions can be conducted at your home (provided you have the space) or in the beautiful surroundings of Fourways Gardens Parks.

Schools are ideal for hosting Group Sessions, so please get in touch with us if you’d like to act as a venue for our classes.
